The House

A quiet devotion to the craft.

Interior of EMZ's Clipper barbershop

Built above a tailor, in 2011.

EMZ's Clipper was founded by Elliot Vance with a simple idea: take the precision of Italian scissor work, the ritual of the Turkish shave, and the quiet confidence of British gentleman's style — and put them under one dimly-lit roof in Soho.

Fourteen years and twenty thousand cuts a year later, we're still in the same building on Berwick Street. Same brass plaque. Same leather sofa. Same espresso waiting.

We train every barber on the floor. We don't run an academy on the side. The only chair we care about is yours.

The chairs.
